OMG! You absolutely made my 8 year old Grandsons birthday! He told me exactly what he wanted and it was delivered to perfection! Absolutely delicious! What an amazing job! Thank you so much for your Spot on attention to detail! Can't thank you enough!
My Mom, SIL, and best friend went to a Taste of Westchester class via WCC. We had such a great time! Susan was informative and fun! She sent us home with the fresh bread and a recipe. The bread tasted amazing. On our way out, we also purchased a pumpkin spice tres leches cake and omg it was incredible. There are frozen options to take home and bake later. The BEC empanadas are SO good. You just need to brush with egg wash and bake for an hour. But it's worth the wait! Susan loves what she does and you can taste it in her baked goods.
I was in Northern Westchester for my daughter's cheer competition. Checked Yelp for the perfect bakery for the ride home. Sometimes you need a savory treat, cup of tea, and an array of desserts for later. Really glad I found Baked by Susan. Pulled into a good parking lot and walked into a clean and modern shop. Really nice seating area. Gleaming cases filled with delicacies. I was getting a bit of that paralysis of choice, where the fear of missing out on something by selecting something else was kicking into high gear. But then, the nice lady working behind the counter steered me towards a few great choices. I was happy to see that they take tea as seriously as coffee, at some places tea is an afterthought. They serve loose leaf Harney and Sons tea, it was delicious. The empanada is other worldly good. The pastry crust is decadent and the filling was tasty, I loved the black bean and cheddar. Later that evening, I tried the four dessert items. They were stupendous! Raspberry crumb bar featured delicious raspberry jam and great crumb topping. Pumpkin chocolate chip cookie, pumpkin banana donut, and a pumpkin whoopie pie turned my autumn meter up to 11. The people that live nearby are spoiled. I'm looking to return every time I'm passing by.
It has been a while but everyone who reads my reviews knows I only do the best and no negatives. Baked by Susan is an institution in the lower Hudson Valley based in the charming Village of Croton on Hudson and situated in the Harmon section of the Village. Always superb in any thing she does and can rise to any occasion with a themed delight. This one takes the "cake." A picture speaks a thousand words so all I have to do is post. Boun Appetite!
Susan does it again!! I ordered a large funfetti cake with chocolate filling for my son's 2nd birthday party. We wanted something bright, fun, and classic. Susan did a fantastic job and it goes without saying that the cake delicious. Everyone kept asking where it was from and could not stop raving about how beautiful and delicious the cake was. Our guests requested to take seconds to go haha. It was the first time I didn't have half a cake leftover in my fridge.
